Add your favorite freebie from your store in the link-up below! Great way to get exposure for your store. Leave a blog comment below explaining why this is your favorite freebie! :)
The Peel Writing Strategy freebie in my store is my favorite freebie because it has been the most useful thing that I have used in my classroom the past school year. It was a very beneficial tool for my lower performing students who struggled to write strong compositions. This structure helped them to organize and strengthen their writing.
The "Library Check Out Cards" freebie I linked up with is my favorite (and most recent) freebie I created. Too often, I've seen kiddos read through books faster than lightning, but then not be able to tell me what the book is about (because there was actually NO reading happening). I created this product to not only help teachers better organize their classroom library, but to also allow for students to reflect upon their reading & hold them responsible for the books they take from the classroom library.
My game to practice short a words is my favorite freebie because I'm using it to practice cvc words with my son going into 1st grade next year. He loves to play games so I don't think he realizes he's learning.
I shared our Math Challenge 5th Grade Review Sample packet! This packet was such a great practice tool for our 5th graders last year! It replaced their normal homework for the month or so leading up to "the test". At first they moaned and groaned because it is quite a bit, but they quickly realized they needed the practice to brush up on things.
I posted my Thanksgiving Roll and Read Sight Words because my students love dice, small counters, and games they can play without me :) I made this game for my students who need extra practice mastering their sight words. I love it because I use the same graphics but different words for my above level students so everyone is "playing the same game" but working on their level.
I made this Freebie because it is a great way to introduce crossword puzzles to children. The first box is color coded to help them know which box to start writing the word. Chris
Thank you for sharing, Paul! I love how thorough this interest survey is. It covers a large variety of interests that should appeal to the majority of students.
I posted my book critique freebie because I am very passionate about reading! I feel like too often students are told to read a book and never given the opportunity to express how they felt about it! As adults, we often times get together and share great books, or books we didn't like and why. We have an opinion, so why shouldn't our students be given the same courtesy? I want to instill a love of reading in students and giving them a voice on books is the first step! Enjoy!
You are absolutely correct! I love that this book critique is some thing simple that students can complete to voice their opinions and learn how to begin discussing books and other pieces of literature. I am definitely going to incorporate this into my classroom. It could even be used to have students rate short stories or poetry to help a teacher get feedback from students about whether they think future students would enjoy the text. Thank you for sharing! :)
I posted my BUTTERFLY BANG! I think ALL students need to feel positive about sight words when learning to read. Fun games to reinforce HFW are the best! wendy 1stgradefireworks@gmail.com 1stgradefireworks
I entered my Apples in a Basket freebie because my students absolutely love playing math games to reinforce math fact fluency. Thanks for this opportunity Second Grade Surprises
Hi all! I just linked up my product "I Can Read 100 Words" I created it as a literacy activity for the 100th day of school, but found it to be a great review that my students LOVED all year long :) Hope your kids love it to!
I posted my whale mystery picture that uses place value/ expanded numbers in the clues. It's a type of mystery picture that uses grid coordinates (but not ordered pairs.)
Wow, so many great freebies! I linked to my Wonderopolis Trifold Activity page. It was hard to choose a favorite freebie, but this one I have used the most in my classroom. Wonderopolis is an excellent site and this activity sheet is a perfect companion. Plus it can be used with a range of grade levels!

Swap the Squiggle writing is a fun collaborative writing activity.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing to see the final illustrations that started from a random squiggle.
